Libraries Academic libraries are libraries associatedwith institutions
ofhigherlearning which are devoted to academic activities oftheirparent
institutions. They supportteaching, learning and research.All academic
libraries are affiliated to institutions and they are expected to serve
theirparent bodies. Academic librariesinclude universities libraries (e.g.
Michael OkparaUniversity of Agriculture Library, Kenneth Dike Library,
University ofIbadan, Delta State University Library, etc.), polytechnics
libraries (e.g. Federal Polytechnic Nekede Library), colleges ofeducation
libraries (e.g. Alvan Ikoku Federal College ofEducation Libraiy), school
ofhealth technology libraries (e.g. School ofHealth TechnologyLibrary, Ufuma,
Delta State), etc
