Time Series Analysis Of The Volume Of Sales Of Maltina
ABSTRACT
This project deals with time series analysis
of the volume of sales of Maltina (a product of Nigerian Breweries Pie) f~
January 1990 to December 2000. The basic assumptions of time series were
tested. The analysis of the volume of sales was done with autocorrelation and
partial autocorrelation functions. A statistical package MINIT AB was used in
analysing the data. There was trend in the volume of sales of Maltina. The data
was also differenced. The 95% confidence limit was O .17 4, which is also the
standard error of the autocorrelation. The fitted model for the data was ARIMA
(III). With the model, the forecast 1 I of the volume of sales of Maltina was
done.
