The Problems Of Tax Collection Mid Revenue Utilization In Abia State (A Study Of Bende Local Government Area Of Abia State State)
ABSTRACT
THE PROBLEMS OF A COLLECTION AND REVENUE UTILIZATION TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, was injured by the high rate of embezzlement, poor leadership, low role of accoun1;abilit, general laxity of the finance department arid corruption in the Nigeria Local Government. system, and Bende Local Governed l in particular. Chapter two among other things looked at the creation a Nigeria, and Bende Local Government in particular, and function of local government. Chapter three look at the population, population size and methods of data collection. Primary data were used, the population of the study consist of 380 workers and Taro arithmetic mathematical formula was used and I obtained a sample size of 1.95. Chapter four showed the data analysis in which Chisq mire analytical tool were used. The data analysis revealed that revenue utilization in Bende local government had created a negative impact. Chapter Five fin clings and recommendation of the researcher. I have therefore recommended that tile revciuie available to local government should be handled by tinsel and accountable personnel, those who posses sound knowledge about revenue generation and utilization. The outcome would he an effective and efficient management of revenue in local government in such a way that they would deliver the needed development.
