Taxation Strategies Of Companies In Nigeria (A Study Of Selected Companies) In Rivers State
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to bring into focus the taxation strategies of • companies and to find out the factors that influence it. Research questionnaire will be administered to the selected companies, after which, the responses will be co11ected. The, data collected will be analyzed and the hypotheses will be tested • using chi-square (X2) statistical technique. The researcher will try to find out the follow: 1. The different strategies which the companies adopt in managing their tax policies - 2. The attitude of conkpanies towards tax payment. / 3. The agreement between the companies and the tax officers. Recommendation would be made among which will be: 1. The method of tx assessment 2. The method of handing companies that evade tax in any way. 3. How the internal Revenue Staff should be remunerated as to improve efficiency. Thus, this study will be carried out to reveal the various strategies adopted by co1Tipa1ies, which will have much impact on economic development of the country.
