ABSTRACT
This project work is on series solution of ordinary
differential equations. This procedure is mainly devised to obtain the solution
of ordinary differential equations whose coefficients are functions of the
independent variable. The type of solution in the case is determined by the
nature of the coefficients of the highest derivatives occurring in the
differential equation. This leads to classification of the coefficients of the
highest derivatives into ordinary point and the singular point of the ordinary
differential equation. For ordinary points we chose for the solution of the
form. And for the singular point we chose. The determination of π leads
to what is called the indicial equation whose degree is equal to the ordinary
differential equation. We obtained the series solution of sonic chosen
differential equations.
