Quality Control On Auditing And Investigation (A Survey Of Accounting Firms In Abia State)
ABSTRACT
The assessment of quality control adopted by auditors is pre-
requisite to the placement of reliance on audited financial
statement. This research was conducted to access quality control
standards of Accounting finn in Abia State by studying these firm
in Aba. All the practicing auditors identified in the areas covered,
who are registered with the institute of chartered accountant of
Nigeria (ICAN) were studies using the questionnaire method. The
statistical tool used was the chi square (X2) bçst, this study
discovered that professional training of auditors is sufficiently
translated into higher audit quality control standaids in Abia state.
The study recommended that further research is necessary to
discover it's professionally independence is correlated with the
number of employees, if the operation of many branches effected
quality, the auditor's personal integrity will react with employment
effects to produce more qualitative auditors.
