ABSTRACT
Computer is a general purpose device
that can be programmed to carry out a set bf arithmetic or logical operations.
Onwere (201 1). described computer as an electronic device, which is capable of
accepting data (input), processing data (process) and outputting processed data
(information); under the influence of a stored program. Contrary to the stored
belief that computers existed from antiquity, any tool used for Calculation
could be referred to as a computer. Akinniyi (2010), maintained that, the
earliest computers were tally sticks which were in use since around 20,00 BC.
