Abstract

 This paper examines the impact ofdomestic investment on economic growth in Nigeriafrom 1981 - 2018. The objective ofthe study is to look at the impact ofdomestic investment on the economic growth in Nigeria and to take a look at effect ofgovernment expenditure on the economic growth in Nigeria. Secondary data were collected based on the model used in the research work and unit root test was conducted on the data to test their stationary, after which we perform co-integration test to analyze the long run relationship among the variables. The result obtained from our empirical analysis shows that private domestic investment have a positive significant impact on the economic growth in Nigeria. The study therefore recommend that there is a needfor government to create enabling an environment for domestic investment to rise through the adoption of macroeconomic policies which will boost investment opportunities in the economy thereby contributing to the growth ofthe economy. ! ,'VSI .
