in Ecobank. A Survey research design was adopted for this study. The study had
a population size of 227, out of which a sample size of 145 was realized using
Taro Yamane 's formula at 5% error tolerance and 95% level of confidence.
Instrument used for data collection was primarily questionnaire and interview.
Out of the 145 copies of questionnaire that were distributed, 124 were duly

Social Science (SPSS) tool. The findings indicate that, there is a significant
relevance of computer based information system on organizational performance in
Ecobank (R* =0.922; adjusted R?=0.921; F.cal=1432.273; p=0.000" (p<0.05
at significant level). Also that to a high extent computer based information
system is used by both staff and customers of Ecobank (R* =0.844; adjusted
R?=0.842; F.cal=1432.273; p=0.000°; (p<0.05 at significant level), there are
significant ways computer based information systems can be used to improve
Ecobank's performance (R* =0.713; adjusted R?=0.711; F.cal=303.724; p=0.000%
(p<0.05 at significant level) and finally there are several challenges
facing Ecobank’s performance in Abia state from staff and customers’ resistance
of the new information systems (R* =0.683; adjusted R’=0.680; F.cal=262.720;
p=0.000; (p<0.05 at significant level). The researcher concluded that
computer based information system affects the performance of Ecobank Nig. plc.,
and the study recommended that; Continous usage of computerized systems should
be strongly encouraged by the management of Ecobank, Management of the selected
