ABSTRACT
A
total of 6 water samples namely male hostel tank borehole, female hostel tank
borehole, stréamwàter, Onuine, Vinel, and Lunar sachet water samples were
collected from the University environment between the period of May and July,
2005. These were examined for faecal pollution indicators by most probable
number (MPN method. The study revealed that the stream water was polluted with
faecal pollution indicacir such as Streptococcus. faeca/Ls. Following the WHO
guidelines for potable water, all other Mater samples were acceptable for drinking.
