ABSTRACT

This project  is  written   by Nwazue   Nkem Ugochukwu,    on the topic "Application of accounting   ratios  in  management    dee  ision"   (a scudy   of selected   companies in Ahia State).  The objective   of the  study  among  others  is to discover  whether accounting  ratios   are  relevance    in  management    decisions    making   to  some companies.   The  work   critically    revealed   works   of  some   eminent   scholars pointing·   out  the   history   and  importance    of  ratio   analysis   in   management decisions.   The study  centered   on the foll  owing hypothesi   ·;  that  was interested in chapter    four.   Ho:    Application      of  accounting    ratio   does   not   improve organization  decision   making   Hi: Application    of accounting    ratio   improves organization     decision   making.    The  researcher     makes   use   of  primary    and secondary   data   source    in   the   methodology.      In  the   primary     source,    the researcher    make  use  of report   questior.naire,    while  in secondary   source  the researcher   makes    use  .  of  textbooks,    j ournals.    magazi.ie      and   unpublished materials   from  students   in  var'ious  institution   of higher   learning.   The findings of the  research   work  reveals   that  application    of accounting    ratio  is .important for organizations      decision     making.    The   data    collected    were    presented analyzed   and  discussed,   the  chi-square   (X2)     statistical    tool  were  used  for the test   of  the   research     hypothesis     formulated.     l\ianagers     in   the    Brewery Industries    should   continue   to  use  application    of accounting   ratio  as  a basis upon  which   their decision   are  based  because   witl-out    r, tios  analysis   of data would  be largely   uninformative     to every  skilled.
