ABSTRACT
The samples (House flies) were
collected from three (3) different location in MOUAU. Thirteen (13) different
bacteria genera were isolated from the sample (House Flies) which includes Eschericha
coil (3). Slctphyloccccus aureus (3), Salmonella .spp (3), Proteus spp (2),
Eschericha coli Pseudomonas aeruginosa (2), The highest percentage occurrence
of 23.07% was recorded by Salmonella spp and Staphylococcus aureus
respectively, while the least percentage occurrence of 15.38% was recorded by
Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus spp respectively. The highest total bacterial
count of 2.83 x l06 cfu/g was recorded by the road side samples
(UGI) while the least counts of 1.54 x lO6cfu/g was observed by the
Cafeteria food samples (MCI). Antibiotics percentage sensitivity showed that
Pseudomonas aeruginosa had the highest sensitivity of 100% on Ciprofloxacin,
Gentamycin, Augmentin, and Septrin respectively while the least percentage
sensitivity of (0%) was recorded on Eythromycin, Amoxil, Ampicilin,
Norfioxacin, Streptocycin, Levofloxacin and Rifampicin. Staphylococcus aureus had
the highest sensitivity of 100% on Ciprofloxacin, and 66.7% on Gentamycin,
Norfioxacin, Streptocycin, Levofloxacin and Rifampicin respectively, 33.3% on
the least percentage of 0% was recorded on Erythromycin, Amoxil, Ampicilin and
Septrin. Eschericha coli had the highest sensitivity of 1 00% on Norfioxacin,
Gentamycin respectively, 66.7% on Ciprofloxacin, Augmentin and Scptrin
respectively. While the least percentage of 0% was recorded on Eythromycin,
Amoxil, Ampicilin, Streptocycin, Levofloxacin and Rifampicin respectively.
Proteus Spp had the highest sensitivity of 100% on Ciprofloxacin, Streptocycin
and Septrin respectively, 50% on Gentamycin, Arnpicilin, Augmentin
respectively. While the least percentage of 0% was recorded on Eythromycin,
Amoxil, Norfioxacin, Levofloxacin and Rifampicin respectively. Salmonella Spp
had the highest sensitivity of 66.7% on Ciprofloxacin, Gentamycin, Augmentin
respectively. 33.3% on Septrin while the least percentage of 0% was recorded on
Eythromycin, Amoxil, Ampicilin, Streptocycin, Levofloxacin and Rifampicin
respectively.
