A Time Series Analysis Of The New Customers In Intercontinental Bank Plc, Library Avenue, Umuahia.
ABSTRACT
This work involves fitting time
series model to the number of depositors at intercontinental bank Plc, 2
Library Avenue, Umuahia, Abia State. The period covered is 2005 — 2010. The
modeling approach is Box and Jenkins as it was used to obtain the most adequate
model and the parameters were estimated. The plot of autocorrelation function
and partial autocorrelation function of the differenced data were used to
identify a stationary model for the new customers which is ARIMA (2 11). Also,
a diagnostic check was carried out, which showed that the model was adequate.
Furthermore, forecast values for the period January, 2011 — December, 2011 was
made. Finally, recommendations were made based on the result of the findings.
