ABSTRACT
Newcastle disease
(ND) is a viral disease of poultry affecting domestic and wild avian species
and humans (Al-Garib et al., 2003). Newcastle Disease is of great economic importance, causing
devastating losses, with mortality as high as 100% seen in some cases among
both intensive, extensive and traditional village poultry production systems
across the developing world (Anon, 2010; Wernery et al., 1992).
