ABSTRACT
This project examines the impact of
service marketing in banking industry in our country. Some problems were stated
in these works which include time wasted and long queuing in banks with the
problems in mind it intends to investigate the efficient, quality and mode of
operation of some of the services provided by the bank. Especially the
objectives are the conveniences provided for the customers when transacting
their business, to determine the causes of delay if any and to find out the
extent to which the concept of marketing management has been applied in the banking
sector. Numbers of hypotheses were postulated as follows; there is no
significant relationship between the level of bank marketing activities and the
level of its deposit base. There is no significant between the promotional strategies
used by the bank and its profit and there no significant relationship between
services offered by the bank and its performance. The data where analyzed using
percentage tb1e and chit. square. Based on the finding made, the banks should improve
on the kind and quality of services they render and also to adopt better
promotional strategies to improved their profit level.
