ABSTRACT

In this research, we developed a Student Examination Management System (SEMS), which is a comprehensive software solution developed to revolutionize and automate the intricate processes associated with conducting examinations and managing student results within educational institutions. This system serves as a central platform for organizing and optimizing key tasks, including student data management, course and subject administration, examination scheduling, student registration, question paper handling, online examination capabilities, result computation. The software was developed utilizing the waterfall methodology. Beginning with thorough requirements analysis and system design, we proceeded with implementation, testing, and maintenance phases in a sequential manner. The tool of choice for development was PHP, coupled with the MYSQL (for database), ensuring a structured and systematic approach. Through rigorous testing and validation, SEMS was successfully crafted to optimize exam scheduling, student registration, result processing, and report generation. The research outcomes affirm the efficacy of SEMS in enhancing the efficiency of exam-related processes within educational institutions, showcasing its potential to streamline administrative tasks and provide a seamless experience for both administrators and students.
