Role Of Financial Accounting Information In Evaluating The Performance Of Small Business (A Study Of Saclux Paints Ltd) Abia State, Nigeria:-Kalu Samuel O
ABSTRACT
The major purpose of this study is to examine
the role of financial accounting information in evaluation the performance of
small business of SACLUX PAINTS LTD. If an organization has strong financial
accounting information in evaluating the performance and corporate governance,
it will require fewer and less extensive accounting information. This study
covered a sample of 100 respondents drawn from the five departments in the
Saclux Paints Ltd. To achieve the objective of the study, the data collected
from the questionnaires were analyzed using simple percentage method, while the
hypothesis testing was conducted using simple percentage method, and the
hypothesis testing was conducted using the chisquare and they were‘tested at 5%
level of significance and 95% level of confidence. The result of the research work
meets the empirical expectation that corporate governance and financial
accounting information have positive effect on the evaluation of small business
performance. The researcher after the analysis and interpretation was convinced
that when financial ratios of an organization are effective, it will help the
organization to generate a reliable financial report. The findings also
revealed that effective corporate governance of an organization influence the
evaluation of the performance. This is to say that there is significant
relationship between effective corporate governance and financial ratio
analysis.
