ABSTRACT

There has been a continued decrease in performance of organization decision makers, especially in  the  area  of  accounting  information,  analysis  have  attributed  it  to  lack  of  accounting information system, and management of organization has not address, the issue properly. This research work is therefore designed to the role of accounting information system can impact on the organization, with particular reference to federal pay office Umuahia. It is thus, the purpose of the study to book into the organization, with the view to identifying their weakness and offering suggestion on how to improve the situation. Survey research design method was used in findings. The target population  was tight, the (85) staff of federal pay office Umuahia. The sample size of seventy (70) was deducted using "TARO YAMANE formula. Questionnaires were administered.
