ABSTRACT
The study was aimed at examining
the relationship between pornography and psychosocial adjustment of secondary
school students in Imo state. The study was guided by four research questions
and four null hypotheses which were tested at 0.05 level of significance. The
study adopted the correlation design. The subject for the study consisted of
567 SS2 students from 18 secondary schools in Okigwe Education Zone in Imo
state. Three instruments were used for data collection which was titled
Pornography Questionnaire, Psychological Adjustment Questionnaire and Social

three instruments respectively while the homogeneity of the items was
established using Cronbach Alpha method which yielded indices of 0.78 and 0.83
0.76for the three instruments respectively. The research questions were
answered using the Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient while the
hypotheses were tested using the Analysis of variance from the Simple Linear
Regression at 0.05 level of significance which revealed the following findings:
A positive, high and significant relationship exists between pornography and
psycho-social adjustment of secondary school students. Pornography had 44.2%
and54.8% contributions in predicting psychological and social adjustment of

relationship between pornography and psychological. The study then recommended
