ABSTRACT
Sheep like goat is a small ruminant with a high adoptability
climate. Sheep by nature is a germanous
animal and it is generally unlike goat
which produce more than one young one at the time of kidding , sheep plays an
important role in the animal production and rural economy in arid and semi arid
regions and largely marina1 and sub-marginal holding (i , 193:) Of the total 1
043 milljon sheep in the \vorlri in 1975 snore than one lit rd of the worki
sheen popuLl inn in the tropics consist of indigenous breeds with poor yield.
The animals are kept almost excessively for domestic purposes, by the nomads of
Africa, Arabia and the near East, and pro\'ide meat and milk.
