ABSTRACT

This study focused on the impact of corporate entrepreneurship on organizational performance of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State. The study sought to examine the impact of innovation on organizational output of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State, assess the impact of risk-taking on organizational efficiency of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State, determine the impact of proactiveness on organizational profitability of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State and determine the impact of competitive aggressiveness on organizational effectiveness of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State. The study adopted survey design. The study made use of primary and secondary source of data collection. The population of 200 comprise of some selected small and medium enterprise in Ebonyi State Nigeria. These SMEs include Jack Engineering And Resource  Company Limited, Kinglion Works Limited, Kumandy's World, Miracle Business Venture and Aplombtainment Media. The sample size of 133 was derived from Taro Yamane formula. A total of one hundred and thirty-three (133) questionnaires were distributed to the selected SMES in Ebonyi state, twenty-two (22) questionnaires with 16.6% were lost, one hundred and one (111) questionnaires were recovered with the percentage ration of 83.4%.  A stratified sampling method was adopted and it gave the staff an equal chance of being selected in the study. The study employed regression model to test the relationship between the dependent variables and the independents variables. The study found out that Innovation has a significant effect on organizational output of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State p-value=.009< .05% significance level. The study found out that Competitive aggressiveness has a significant impact on organizational effectiveness of Selected SMEs in Ebonyi State p-value =.005<.05% significance level. The study recommended that The small and medium enterprise should endeavour to boost their innovation outlook and infrastructure to enable them stimulate their organization growth. The SMEs should streamline their competitive aggressiveness in order to enhance their competitive advantage capacity.
