ABSTRACT
The issue of identifying and classifying what is abnormal in
children has proven difficult because of the peculiar nature of children; they
depend primarily on their families and social environments. Their problems are
often related to immaturity and specific developmental crises and are more
likely to change with time. This papertherefore x-rayed the problems
ofidentifying and classifying child psychopathology, how to diagnose it
following the literature reviewed. Recommendations were made and conclusions drawn
