Information on the socio economic characteristics, food habits, anthropometric indices and the relationship between food habits and anthropometric indices of the respondents were obtained using questionnaire. The results of the study showed that majority (85.5%) of the respondent were males while only few (1.5%) were females and majority (85.5%) were within the age range of 18-42. A higher proportion (82.5%) of the respondents were Igbos. The marital status showed that 55.5% of the subjects were married and moS (86.9%) of the study population was Christians. The educational level showed that 50.5% of the population attained secondary school. The study further revealed that the respondents also consumed cereals, legumes, meat and meat products, fruits and vegetable. Furthermore, most (57.1 %) of the respondents within the age range of 28-32 years were of class II obesity, few (26.7%) of the respondents aged 38-42 years were at risk of overweight. In the relationship between food habits and anthropometric indices of respondents, the mean height of the bus drivers was significantly different when compared with their meal skipping habit. There was no significant difference in the mean waist hip ratio of those who skipped meals (0.90±0.05) and those who did not (0.89±0.15). The study concluded that some of the commercial bus drivers consumed lots of cereals, legumes, meat and meat products, fruits and vegetables. The findings of the study showed that a higher proportion of the respondents skipped their meals, this is simply because their food habits are highly influenced by their economic status, busy schedules, social factors. Nutrition knowledge and food choice thereby influenced their anthropometric indices such as weight, height waist and hip circumferences. The study recommended that the park authorities in collaboration with the government agencies establish a good and healthy cafeteria where these drivers can purchase food and there should be regulations in their driving time.
