ABSTRACT
Generally,
rotating electrical machines converts electrical energy to mechanical energy or
vice versa. This is made possible by the interaction of electrical circuits and
magnetic fields across an air gap; the usefulness of the motor has resulted in
a lot of research. This project presents the development of a simulink model of
asynchronous motor with pump load. The model is to investigate the effect of
the parameter values on the dynamic performance of a 7.5kw induction motor. The
simulation is obtained from non-linear differential equations. It is verified
that accurate simulations of the machine under steady and transient states are
possible. It concludes that, comparison on load, no load and pump load of an
Asynchronous motor using simulink can be achieved.
